At Powertune 4×4 & Car Service Centre, we’ve been proudly serving the Ipswich region since 1968. Founded by Trevor Kucks—an RAAF-trained mechanic with a passion for motor racing—our workshop started with a focus on Dyno Tuning and race engines, alongside strong ties to Ford’s racing division. But we’ve always stayed committed to quality mechanical servicing for the local community.

In 2002, the torch was passed to Andrew, who brought experience from dealerships and teaching automotive at TAFE. Today, Andrew leads a skilled team with decades of combined experience.

We service all makes of cars, 4WDs, light commercials, trailers, caravans, and more. Our workshop is equipped with a 4-wheel dyno, advanced diagnostic tools, and a MAHA Test Lane bay for precise suspension and brake assessments. We also offer a wide range of 4WD accessories and expert fitting services.

Whether you’re after routine maintenance or a full 4WD upgrade, we focus on reliability, performance, and versatility. We’re passionate about vehicles—and it shows. When we’re not under the hood, you’ll find us out exploring in our own rigs.
