Built for the bloke who wants a rig that works hard Monday to Friday but still looks the part rolling into site.

This Next Gen Ford Ranger has been set up as a no-nonsense tradie package, centred around a 1700mm chassis mount service body, a tradie roof platform, and a 12V Weekender system to keep things powered and practical.

It’s clean, functional, and just a little bit different.

Built to Work

At the core of this setup is our 1700mm alloy chassis mount service body. This size is the sweet spot for dual cabs, giving you serious storage without overhanging or compromising balance.

Inside, you’ve got a proper workspace:

  • Dual drawer system for tools and consumables
  • Open shelving for quick access gear
  • Internal lighting so you’re not fumbling around early mornings or late knock-offs
  • Full uni-strut system so everything can be mounted, moved, or upgraded later

It’s the kind of setup that keeps your gear organised and your day moving.

Power Where You Need It

We’ve paired this build with the 12V Weekender package, which is more than enough for most tradies.

Think:

  • Battery system with inverter capability
  • USB and 12V outlets
  • Internal lighting tied into your power setup

Whether you’re charging tools, running a fridge, or just need reliable power on-site, it’s all there. Trojan’s 12V systems are designed to suit both work and touring setups without overcomplicating things.

Tradie Roof Platform

Up top, we’ve gone with the tradie roof rack platform.

This gives you:

  • Easy transport for ladders, conduit, timber or long gear
  • Full use of the canopy roof space
  • Compatibility with additional accessories down the track

It’s simple, strong, and built to take a beating.

The Look: Clean but Not Cookie-Cutter

This is where this build stands out.

We’ve colour-coded the main canopy doors to match the white Ranger, while keeping the undertray toolboxes in powdercoat black.

That contrast does a couple of things:

  • Breaks up the body visually so it doesn’t look like a big white box
  • Keeps the lower sections practical and harder wearing
  • Gives the rig a more aggressive, purposeful stance

It’s subtle, but it makes a difference.

Why a Service Body Makes Sense

For a setup like this, a service body just works.

Compared to a tray and canopy combo, you get:

  • A lighter solution for your rig
  • Cleaner install with everything integrated
  • A little extra cash in your wallet

They’re purpose-built for tradies who live out of their ute.
