Hilux N90 – 1400mm Service Body

White

2026

Built for Scoot & Son Roofing, this new Toyota Hilux N90 combines secure workday storage with enough off-grid capability to make weekends away seriously comfortable.

Rather than fitting a traditional tray and removable canopy, this build uses our 1400mm chassis-mounted service body. The result is a compact, well-balanced setup with integrated storage, a full electrical system and useful tray space at the rear.

The Setup

The 1400mm service body mounts directly to the Hilux chassis, helping to keep the overall package tidy and efficient. Its three-quarter configuration provides a secure enclosed canopy while retaining an open rear load area for equipment that needs to remain accessible.

The exterior has been finished with white colour-coded canopy doors and underbody toolbox doors. Paired with the black powder-coated body and hardware, the result looks right at home behind the new Hilux cab.

Key exterior features include:

  • 1400mm chassis-mounted aluminium service body
  • Colour-coded canopy and underbody toolbox doors
  • Lockable underbody storage
  • Rear tray area with removable sides
  • Full-width rear trundle drawer
  • Roof-mounted load bars
  • Integrated LED rear lighting
  • Pressurised water tank and outlet
  • Whale-tail compression locks
  • LED lighting beneath the gullwing doors

Storage That Works

Large gullwing doors provide clear access to the service body from either side. Inside, the flush floor creates an open and practical load space without the lost height of a false floor.

Integrated uni-strut channels line the walls and roof, providing flexible mounting points for shelving, drawers, tool holders and future accessories. This allows the internal layout to evolve as the owner’s work requirements change.

The rear tray and full-width trundle drawer add another level of versatility. Longer or dirtier equipment can be carried outside the enclosed body, while smaller tools and recovery gear remain organised and easy to reach.

Serious Power on Board

This Hilux has also been equipped with a comprehensive electrical system for power on the job or away from it.

The installation includes a REDARC RedVision display, providing a central location for monitoring the auxiliary power system and controlling connected circuits. A Hardkorr 2000W pure sine wave inverter supplies 240V power for compatible tools, chargers and appliances.

The electrical equipment is mounted neatly against the internal fridge cage, keeping the main storage area clear. Up top, a REDARC solar panel uses the service body’s roof channels to help maintain the auxiliary system when the vehicle is parked away from mains power.

Why This Build Works

This N90 Hilux has been configured around real-world use. The service body provides secure storage for the working week, while the inverter, solar input, water outlet and modular interior make it equally useful when it is time to head away.

Compact, capable and easy to access, it is a proper dual-purpose setup without unnecessary bulk.
