When Jordan ordered his brand new 2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty XLT, he knew exactly what he wanted.
During the week, the ute needed to earn its keep as part of his family construction business in Adelaide. On the weekend, it needed to carry everything required to head off grid with the family.
That meant finding a tray and canopy setup that balanced practicality, storage and touring capability without compromising on durability.
Working alongside Wayne Phillis Ford, we completed the entire build before Jordan even collected his new Super Duty. Instead of taking delivery of a standard ute and organising aftermarket accessories later, Jordan drove away with a fully equipped touring and work vehicle that was ready from day one.
One of the biggest priorities for Jordan was building a vehicle that could handle daily construction work without sacrificing usability.
The 1600mm aluminium tray provides plenty of usable space while remaining compact enough to suit the Ranger Super Duty perfectly. Integrated tie-down rails make securing materials and equipment quick and easy, and the underbody toolboxes keep frequently used tools organised and protected.
At the rear, the spare wheel carrier frees up valuable tray space while still providing fast access whenever it’s needed.
Once work finishes on Friday afternoon, this Super Duty quickly transforms into a capable touring vehicle.
The 1400mm lift-off canopy provides secure storage while giving Jordan the flexibility to remove it if his work requirements ever change.
Inside, the Bushman DC85-X upright fridge keeps food and drinks cold for extended trips, and the custom Trojan fridge cage incorporates a convenient slide-out table that creates a practical food preparation area.
Power is handled by our Weekender 12V Power Panel with an external Anderson input, making it easy to charge the system before a trip or connect external power when required.
Mounted overhead, the 270XL awning with zip entry creates a generous sheltered living area in just minutes, making campsite setup fast and simple.
