Seismic Tan is a colour that deserves to be seen, so this Super Duty got a build that lets the paint do the talking. A full-length 1800mm alloy tray with a matching 1800mm lift-off canopy, all in powder coated black. Clean lines, no fuss, and a huge amount of secure storage.

The tray-and-canopy combo is the most versatile way to set up a Super Duty. Day to day the canopy stays on for sealed, lockable storage. When there’s a load that doesn’t fit inside anything, the canopy lifts off and you’ve got a bare 1800mm deck to work off.

Why this build works

This is a build with room to grow. The uni-strut runs right through the floor and walls, so drawers, a fridge cage, shelving or a full kitchen can go in whenever the owner’s ready. No cutting, no drilling, no starting again. Plenty of people take delivery like this and build it out over a couple of seasons.

The 12V side is already sorted, and that’s the part that’s hard to retrofit. A 100Ah REDARC lithium battery and Hardkorr inverter means fridge power, 240V for the gear that needs it, and a display that tells you where you’re at.

At 1800mm, this is about as much length as you can run on a dual cab before it starts getting awkward, and the Super Duty’s chassis carries it easily. Load it up, lock it down, go.
