Tony Ellison at camp

Ambassador Showcase:

Tony Ellison

Tony is the creator of The Mighty Overlander on YouTube and Instagram, and a presenter on Channel 7’s 4WD and Adventure Show.

Once a micro-overlanding enthusiast with a JB74 Suzuki Jimny, Tony has since levelled up to a 2025 Ford Ranger Sport. Over the past four years, he’s been exploring the vast landscapes of Western Australia—from the historic Goldfields of Kalgoorlie to the rugged Gibb River Road in the Kimberley—alongside the Wildtrak team.

Drawing on the lessons learned during his time in the Jimny, Tony’s current setup is all about practicality: quick to set up, easy to pack down, and cleverly organised. His build strikes the perfect balance between off-road capability, long-range touring performance, and camping comfort.

You can catch Tony every Saturday morning on Channel 7, or follow his adventures on The Mighty Overlander and Wildtrak YouTube channels and Instagram accounts.

Tony gives us a full walkaround of his 2025 Ford Ranger build. After years of running the Jimnys, the Wildtrak team decided it was time for a serious upgrade. This Ranger has been purpose-built for long-distance touring, off-grid capability, and serious comfort on the tracks.
