Warranty Policy

Trojan Camping and 4x4 Pty Ltd (trading as Trojan Canopies) is committed to providing reliable products, and we stand behind the quality of our canopies and trays. Please read our warranty policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions of coverage.

1. Duration of Warranty:

We offer a 5-year structural warranty from the date of purchase and a 24-month hardware warranty.

The purchase date can be verified through invoices issued by our company or the dealer from whom the product was purchased.

2. Structural Warranty:

Our structural warranty encompasses all manufacturers' defects in the structural components of our canopies and trays, including welds.

3. Hardware Warranty:

The hardware warranty covers all mechanical components of the canopies and trays, such as hinges, gas struts, locks, and seals.

4. Supplier Warranty:

Certain products may be subject to their own supplier warranty terms, such as 12V system components, LED tail lights, blind spot monitor housings, and batteries.

Faulty products may need to be returned to the supplier for inspection and rectification.

5. Exclusions from Warranty:

Accidental damage is not covered, although we will make an effort to repair such damage at an additional cost.

The warranty becomes void if the product is used for an unintended purpose, altered in any way, or if the installation is unsatisfactory.

6. Non-Covered Incidents:

Theft or attempted theft of items is not covered.

Any damage resulting from theft or other incidents is not covered by the warranty.

7. Powder Coating:

Powder coating is not covered under warranty.

Scratches are also not covered, although Trojan Camping and 4x4 can assist in touching up marks when necessary.

Proper care steps must be taken by the consumer to ensure the longevity of the powder coating.

8. Self-Installation Exclusion:

Products that have been self-installed will not be covered under warranty.

Any issues arising from self-installation will be referred exclusively to the rights and remedies provided under Australian Consumer Laws.

Trojan Camping and 4x4 Pty Ltd emphasises the importance of professional installation to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of our products. This exclusion extends to cases where the product has been installed by individuals rather than authorised professionals, and any concerns related to such installations will be addressed in accordance with Australian Consumer Laws.

9. Workmanship Guarantee:

All work conducted by our installation team, including tray installation, is covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee.

This guarantee encompasses the following aspects of the installation process:

  • Tail light wiring
  • Reverse relocation
  • Reverse camera relocation
  • Blind spot monitoring relocation

10. Blind Spot Monitoring Recalibration:

Please be aware that the relocation of blind spot monitoring sensors may require recalibration by the manufacturer's dealership.

Despite our significant investment in time and resources for the relocation process, issues with recalibration may arise.

Recalibration-related problems with blind spot monitoring systems will not be covered under the warranty provided by Trojan Camping and 4x4 Pty Ltd.

It is important for customers to acknowledge that certain technical aspects, such as recalibration, may be best addressed through the expertise available at the manufacturer's dealership. While we strive for excellence in our services, any issues pertaining to recalibration fall outside the scope of our warranty coverage.

11. Making a Warranty Claim:

To make a warranty claim, contact Trojan Camping and 4x4 via email at info@trojancampingand4x4.com.

Include the following information in your claim:

  • Full name or Company name
  • Invoice number
  • Product fault details
  • Provide any supporting evidence, such as pictures.

12. Warranty Claim Assessment:

Warranty claims will be assessed by Trojan Camping and 4x4.

We will attempt to repair the product before considering a replacement.

13. Repair Location:

For any necessary repairs, customers are required to visit the dealership where the products were originally installed by our team.

Repair services will be provided exclusively at the authorised dealer where the installation took place.

Trojan Camping and 4x4 Pty Ltd ensures that repairs are conducted efficiently and accurately by directing customers to the specific dealership where the products were initially installed. This approach helps maintain the integrity of the installation and ensures that repairs are carried out by professionals familiar with the original setup.
